Apple hardware in science

I just came across an interesting article in TechNewsWorld dealing with the increasing use of Apple technology in a scientific environment. The focus is medical imaging but this could apply to many areas of science. The demands on hardware, Unix-based core, increasing use of open-source software, flexibility of virtualization, extremely competitive pricing on RAID storage, all reasons to buy Apple :-)
