Mac Market Share
The Operating System market share results from May 2008 at Net Applications are now available. The share of MacIntel machines has now reached a notable milestone at 5% whilst the share of the old PPC machines remains at 2.8% giving a new high of 7.8%.
The iPhone usage has crept up to 0.16% a four-fold increase since May 2007 the iPod usage is now 0.3% giving a total of 0.19% for the new Mac mobile operating system three times that of WinCE (0.06%).
Looking at the data for web browsers whilst Firefox (18.4%)continues to eat into the IE (73.8%) dominance I see that Safari (6.2%) has exceeded six percent for the first time.
