EndNote updates

There are a couple of threads on MacResearch discussing the recent EndNote X1 update this update provides EndNote Cite While You Write compatibility with Microsoft Word 2008.
The update can be downloaded here.
However it seems that the update might also work with EndNote X provided you launch EndNote before using the CWYW toolbar.
Of course there are a number of alternatives to EndNote.
