Net Applications Market Share

The April market share data is available from Net Applications. There was very little change in market share, Windows dropped 0.12% to 91.46%, with the mobile platforms all picking up small increases continuing the trend seen for the past 12 months.
In terms of versions of the operating systems April was noteworthy in that Mac OS X 10.6 (Snow Leopard) became the predominant version of the Mac OS. For Windows XP continues to dominate, accounting for two-thirds of the Windows use.
They have been tracking the iPad usage statistics for April, global browsing share reached .03% of total web browsing, and browsing in the U.S. reached .12% of total web browsing.

Among the browsers IE dropped below 60% for the first time (an 8% fall over the last 12 months), with Firefox, Chrome and Safari all picking up share.
