Apple's Science & Technology Marketing group will be hosting an informal discussion on Apple and the needs of the science community. Pizza, beer & refreshments will be served.
Topics to be discussed include:
- General feedback about use of Macs in scientific research (what's working, what's needed)
- Windows virtualization using Parallels, VMWare
- New methods of visual communication including display walls
- Leopard features and how they map to needs of the scientist
- Apple Science web site - feedback and improvements
- Feedback on adoption, performance, and features of the new Intel-based Xserve for cluster computing
