Mac Market Share Update

The September data from Net Applications is in, and for the first time since the Net Applications started coverage the total Mac operating system market share exceeds 8%. The 8.3% share comprises of 2.5% PPC and 5.8% MacIntel, this is a 0.4% increase in the MacIntel share one of the largest jumps in share seen to date.
The iPhone share is still on the rise, after hovering around 0.18% for several months it is now up to 0.32% which is now some 5-fold higher than WinCE (0.06%).
