Apple overtakes Microsoft

Today was a notable day for Apple, after the troubles of the 1990’s in which Apple faced financial ruin the company and Michael Dell famously said “I'd shut it down and give the money back to the shareholders”. Well Dell now has a market capitalization of $24.9B and Apple has a market capitalization of $222B and the stumbling behemoth Microsoft is now valued at $219B.
