Markdown Live

I use [markdown](http://daringfireball.net/projects/markdown/) extensively on my websites, “Markdown” is two things: (1) a plain text formatting syntax; and (2) a software tool, written in Perl, that converts the plain text formatting to HTML allowing you to build HTML documents in an easily readable form. I mainly use [BBEdit](http://www.barebones.com/products/bbedit/index.html?utm_source=thedeck&utm_medium=banner&utm_campaign=bbedit) and regard it as the “gold standard” but I keep an eye out for other markdown editors.

I added a recent addition [Markdown Live](https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/markdown-live/id594391345?mt=12) to the list of available editors.
